Thoughts by Christina Channelle, author of the 'Blood Crave' Series

Merry Christmas! It is my pleasure to welcome author Christina Channelle to the blog today. She is the author of the Blood Crave series. Today, she is telling us about the appeal of the paranormal for both readers and writers, as well as her Top 10 Books. Thanks for stopping by!

Appeal of Paranormal Books for Readers/Writers

For me, it’s an escape from reality. It’s fun and a time when things aren’t so serious. Obviously there are no supernatural creatures that go bump in the night (hopefully). But when you read a paranormal book, almost anything can happen. It’s the surprises, the twists and turns, that I find enjoyable. Same thing goes as a writer. I like how I’m in charge of things. Now I’m in the driver’s seat, trying to come up with things that’ll surprise and shock the readers. It’s one of my favourite things to do, indulging myself with a paranormal book.

**Your Top 10 Favorite Books

That’s a difficult list to come up with as I’ve read and loved so many books since childhood. Here’s a list of some books I’ve read lately and have fallen in love with.

1) Hopeless by Colleen Hoover

2) Escapism by Maria Dee

3) American Girl on Saturn by Nikki Godwin

4) Fire Country by David Estes

5) Being Plumville by Savannah J. Frierson

6) The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater

7) The Edge of Never by J. A. Redmerski

8) Mutilate My Heart by Emily Godwin

9) Powered by Cheyanne Young

10) Progress by Amy Queau
